Island Transit Administration, Operations, and Maintenance Base

Coupeville WA

2013

This new ground-up facility on Whidbey Island was designed and managed by Terry Amundson while working at a previous architecture firm. The project was implemented to address Island Transit having grown out of their previous facility and to allow for their projected future growth. Project scope included the complete programming, design, documentation, and construction administration for the new 54,588 SF transit base consisting of an Administration and Operations building, a 16-bay Maintenance Shop, and Fuel and Wash Buildings. The project was a great success and has served Island Transit’s needs since opening in 2013.
